Job Duties
Specific Duties:
• Administer and coordinate programs on topics including economic crimes, electronic evidence, insurance fraud, asset forfeiture, basic prosecutor training, and leadership training for prosecutors.
• Prepare legal training materials and disseminate them via Prosecutor’s Encyclopedia.
• Regularly maintain and update Prosecutor’s Encyclopedia to include new training materials, online MCLE training, and legal resources for Virginia prosecutors.
• Provide legal updates on new legislation and court rulings to Virginia prosecutors and law enforcement partners.
• Deliver direct legal training on specific issues as requested by Virginia prosecutors.
• Collaborate with the Virginia Information Technology Agency to ensure IT reporting, compliance, and security.
• Prepare mandatory agency reports and oversee IT compliance tasks, including monitoring security training and protocol adherence.
• Manage physical IT assets and provide technical and A/V support for CASC programs as needed.
• Serve as a liaison with other Virginia agencies to address the training needs of Virginia prosecutors.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Membership in the Virginia State Bar.
• Significant prosecution-related experience and a demonstrated commitment to fair and just prosecution of criminal offenses.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
