Job Description:
The Paralegal will serve as the primary point of contact for all new clients, conducting welcome calls and reviewing retainers and required documentation to ensure accurate setup within the firm’s core platform, SmartAdvocate. This role includes communicating with clients to obtain necessary documents from third parties such as insurance carriers, police departments, and medical providers. The Paralegal will draft a variety of legal correspondence, including subpoenas, pleadings, and demands, and will assist attorneys in trial preparation. The Paralegal will also handle Attorney’s worker’s compensation docket so familiarity with worker’s compensation law is preferred. Additional responsibilities include performing investigative research, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining professional communication—both written and verbal—with clients, courts, attorneys, paralegals, and outside parties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of Personal Injury paralegal experience
- Prior worker’s compensation experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Familiarity with SmartAdvocate or similar case management systems preferred
