2721 N Central Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 United States of AmericaU-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and organized legal assistant that will be responsible for working with the Intake Operations Team in taking the lead role in the review and distribution of service of process documents and other information it receives for litigation purposes.
The in-house position duties include but are not limited to:
Review, assignment, evaluation and distribution of departmental daily intake received from various sources.
Data entry, maintenance and processing of all new and existing legal matters, including lawsuits, arbitrations, letters of representation and customer complaints.
Entering, reviewing and updating information contained in the company’s legal tracking and invoice reporting tools for accuracy and quality control consistency.
Copying and scanning.
Other clerical/operational duties as needed.
The desired candidate must have 2 or more years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate environment, be familiar with litigation fundamentals, be a self-starter, can work independently as well as part of a team, and is detailed oriented.
Education:
Associate Degree (or higher) in legal studies; or the equivalent in experience preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications a plus.
Knowledge of Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker preferred.
