What You’ll Do/ Day In The Life
As the Paralegal you will be responsible for supporting the General Counsel to manage the entire legal process of the company. You will assist the General Counsel in building out the first legal department of in company history. You will help implement and subsequently manage all legal processes required of a global company.
Essential Job Duties & Functions
- Assist the General Counsel in preparing legal documents
- Manage and organize all legal documents and correspondence
- Assist the General Counsel in implementing a document management system and process
- Support compliance efforts and manage organization’s legal policies and procedures
- Maintain and manage schedules and appointments for legal department
- Oversee signature process for completed documents
- Communicate and act as point of contact for affiliates of company
- Oversight of company licensing
- Draft, file and manage business entity documents for company’s LLCs
- Assist in communication and oversight of company’s subsidiaries’ legal administrative tasks
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds/14 kilograms.
- Willing and eligible to travel internationally, as needed.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Technology Development: Collaborate with
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal certification from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm’s corporate group or in-house legal department
- Experience overseeing LLC/Inc filing requirements with applicable regulatory bodies
- Ability to review and draft contracts
- Previous oversight of document management systems
- Strong organizational skills
- $75,000 - $85,000
