Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Workers’ Compensation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing insight and knowledge and support to our attorneys in defense litigation cases. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assisting attorneys who specialize in commercial and general litigation.
  • Scheduling calls, conferences, mediation, and other events.
  • E-filing court documents with county, state, and federal court systems.
  • Scanning and saving documents to document management system.
  • Organizing and assembling files for new matters.
  • Submitting invoice for payments.
  • Answering phones.
  • Managing attorneys’ calendars.
  • Other office administrative duties as assigned by attorneys or paralegals. 

 

   Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role as a litigation legal administrative assistant (Experience in Workers’ Comp is preferred)
  • Experience with filing in the I.C.O.N.;
  • Proficient to Excellent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Adaptability, willingness to learn, and ability to work as a productive member of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written, with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

 

This position is for our Columbus, Ohio office.  Hours are generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday), but additional hours could be required as necessary.   The firm offers full benefits, including paid holidays and vacation, health care insurance, 401k and an excellent work environment. Submit your resume to Leah Mako, Director of People Operations at lmako@perez-morris.com.
