Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a Legal Assistant to support a team of attorneys across multiple practice areas, including litigation, land use, redevelopment, and affordable housing. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, motivated, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting, proofreading, and revising legal documents
- E-filing, redlining, and managing case files
- Coordinating attorney calendars, scheduling meetings and calls
- Processing time entries for attorneys and submitting expense reports
- Maintaining and organizing client files in NetDocs or similar document management systems
- Answering phones in a professional and timely manner
- Supporting attorneys in various legal tasks across multiple practice areas
Qualifications
- 2-5+ years of experience supporting attorneys, preferably in litigation or land use
- Strong experience with e-filing and court document retrieval (Pacer, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, NetDocs, iTimeKeep or similar time-entry software
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High attention to detail and ability to proofread documents
