Position Overview:
The Legal Operations Manager is part of the Legal Services team. The position focuses on improving and maintaining the team's internal processes, systems, and tools. Additionally, the position tracks workflow, work volume and projects, and solves technology challenges.
Essential Responsibilities:
- 25% Define, launch, and drive operational initiatives to implement technology to improve efficiency and visibility to client business units.
- 25% Identify, track and report on key operational and substantive metrics for the Legal Services team that will better inform decision-making, including matter and work product analyses.
- 25% Manage development and tracking of team goals and provide project management support.
- 25 %Provide guidance on technology and systems in partnership with Information Services, to improve team efficiency and effectiveness; manage design, rollout, and training for new systems
Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- BA/BS degree in business administration, law or a related field preferred, or 3-4 years equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of project management/process improvement experience preferred.
Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Experience in project or process management within legal department or financial institutions.
- Ability to analyze data and create succinct presentations tailored to the audience at hand, attention to detail with excellent time management and multitasking/prioritization abilities.
- Proactive approach to identifying needs, solving problems, anticipating issues, and developing solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalāism and collegiality.
Job Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Hybrid Work Schedule with 2-3 days expected in-office in Raleigh, NC.
- Working in cubicle in office setting.
- Sitting for prolonged periods.
- Telephone for prolonged periods.
- Computer use for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to comprehend phone calls and carry out verbal and written instructions.
