As the practice grows, The Evans Williams Law Group is looking for a part-time Associate Attorney to support legal operations and help manage workflow.Position Overview:
This part-time role is ideal for an attorney seeking work-life balance, a flexible schedule, or a supplemental practice opportunity. One will handle legal work in the core practice areas and provide oversight for two experienced paralegals and one questionnaire coordinator, helping to ensure files move efficiently and the office runs smoothly.Responsibilities:
- Draft and review estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.)
- Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract to close
- Draft and file business formation documents; advise clients on entity structure
- Supervise paralegals and assist with task delegation and workflow oversight
- Conduct client consultations as needed
- Support office operations with a focus on legal efficiency and file management
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois
- 3+ years of experience in estate planning, real estate, and business law preferred
- Strong drafting and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Prior experience supervising support staff is a plus
- Reliable and responsive communication is essential
