Overview
Deutsche Bank is seeking a mid-level attorney with derivatives and cleared Over the Counter (OTC) derivatives experience to support the Investment Bank’s Fixed Income and Currencies Division, including Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., a registered Futures Commission Merchant. The Bank is a trusted partner to our clients on a global scale with expertise in trading and structuring across various asset classes. You will be part of a global Legal Team that provides expert and strategic advice and proactively manages complex legal risks.

What You’ll Do
Conduct client negotiations, provide regulatory advice, participate in industry associations
Have responsibility for netting and credit risk mitigation analysis and advice
Work with colleagues in the global legal department to coordinate transactional and regulatory advice
How You’ll Lead
Coordinate with Deutsche Bank Compliance, Credit, Finance and other control functions to ensure that internal approvals, legal policy points, and legal/regulatory changes are understood and agreed and there is a sound control framework
Assist the documentation team with the review and negotiation of Futures & Options Agreements, Electronic Trading Services Agreements, Cleared Derivatives Execution Agreements, Sponsored Market Access Agreements and other documentation, as required, including updating and creating standard templates
Manage external counsel engagements
Skills You’ll Need
Juris Doctor Degree
Moderate years of U.S. legal experience gained at a law firm and in-house at a Bank, broker-dealer and/or futures commission merchant
Member in good standing of a State Bar Association, preferably with New York State Bar Admission
Experience with swap and security based swap regulations under Title VII of the Dodd Frank Act, financial and commodities futures and cleared Over-The-Counter (OTC) derivatives is preferred
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Knowledge of Commodities Exchange Act and Regulations, NFA rules and regulations and clearinghouse rules
Experience in all documentation matters, including drafting and negotiating ISDA, F&O Agreements, CDEA, etc
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $170,000 to $254,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
