
The Arizona Attorney General’s Office Operations Division/Human Resources Section is seeking an Administrative Services Officer 1. This position is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day Human Resources Section operations.
• Assist Intern Coordinator with internship/volunteer program and recruitment efforts
• Perform a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records
• Perform data entry in the Human Resources Management system (AZ360)
• Oversee the Capitol Rideshare programs and the health & wellness and deferred compensation promotions and scheduling
• Assist employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
• Assist with inquiries (phone/email) from agency personnel and the public
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality of all employee records and information
• Assist the HR supervisor with New Employee Orientation, on-boarding, departures and special projects
• Assist FMLA Coordinator with FMLA administrative tasks (as needed)
This position may be eligible for Remote Work up to two days a week, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
• Provide clerical and operational support to HR staff; perform a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records. Assist with inquiries. Human Resources Management system (AZ360) data entry. Assist with fingerprinting process.
• Support the HR Supervisor with New Employee Orientation, on-boarding and the fingerprint process. Special projects as needed.
• Assist internship coordinator with the AGO internship/volunteer program and recruitment efforts. Attend career fairs.
• Oversee the Capitol Rideshare Programs, health & wellness promotions and deferred compensation visits.
• Assist FMLA coordinator with FMLA administrative tasks (as needed).
• Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
Salary- $36,779 - $57,750
KNOWLEDGE
Basic knowledge of human resources practices and principles including employment, benefits, employee relations, payroll and compensation;
Knowledge of Human Resources Management system (AZ360);
Knowledge of applicable personnel-related federal and state laws;
Knowledge of statewide Personnel Rules;
Knowledge of Attorney General's Office organization, procedures and policies.
SKILLS
Effective oral and written communication skills;
Exceptional skill in building and maintaining positive work relationships within the agency;
Skill in evaluating and reviewing records;
Skill in file organization;
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook (calendaring), PowerPoint and Visio (or comparable software program).
