Goranson Bain Ausley is seeking an ambitious and extroverted Family Law Paralegal to join our Dallas office!

If you have been working as a family law paralegal in Texas for at least five years, are obsessive in your attention to detail, pride yourself on providing "white glove" client service, and have strong verbal and written communication skills, then you might be our ideal team member. If you also have collaborative divorce experience, your resume will shoot to the top of the pile!

GBA is the largest law firm in Texas exclusively practicing family law and we are recognized as one of the most respected family law firms in the state. Our 50 attorneys are spread among offices in Dallas, Plano, Austin, Fort Worth, Granbury, Midland, and San Antonio. Locally, we are especially proud to have been repeatedly named a Top Workplace by the Dallas Morning News and a Best Place to Work by the Dallas Business Journal. We care for our team so that our team can care for our clients. Our Dallas office is very cohesive and we enjoy a hybrid work schedule.

Please let us hear from you if you have the talents outlined above and align with us on core values and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake calls with potential new clients and educate them on the features of the traditional divorce process and the collaborative divorce process.
  • Prepare legal documents for the collaborative divorce process (participation agreements, agendas, and joint meeting minutes) and for litigation (pleadings, motions, and court orders).
  • Work directly with clients in an empathetic, responsive, and emotionally intelligent manner.
  • Assist with discovery and with preparation for joint collaborative meetings, mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
  • Manage attorney calendars, e-filing, and prebill review.

Job requirements:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent prioritization, problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to learn and utilize new software and technology
  • Creativity, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
  • Undergraduate degree and paralegal certificate preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of Texas Family Law experience, with a solid understanding of the Texas Family Code and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure

Compensation:

Goranson Bain Ausley offers a competitive compensation package including a market-competitive base salary commensurate with experience, medical, dental, vision, 401k contributions, holidays including a full week between December 25th through January 1st, PTO, annual bonuses, and more.
