Job Description

Paralegal - Medical Malpractice (Plaintiff Side) - PART-TIME, REMOTE

We are seeking an experienced (plaintiff side) Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice law, with a proven ability to handle complex cases from inception through trial. This position requires a detail-oriented and compassionate professional who is dedicated to advocating for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of medical malpractice cases, including pre-litigation, discovery, and trial preparation;
  • Gather, organize, and analyze medical records and other relevant documentation;
  • Draft and file legal documents, such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and trial exhibits;
  • Coordinate and conduct depositions and witness interviews;
  • Conduct legal research on medical malpractice laws and standards of care;
  • Prepare case summaries and maintain case files for efficient management.

Experience and Hard Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in medical malpractice law on the plaintiff side;
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records;
  • Proven experience in drafting and managing legal documents related to medical malpractice cases.

Software Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Experience with legal case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or PracticePanther);
  • Familiarity with e-discovery tools (e.g., Relativity or Logikcull);
  • Experience with medical record analysis software (e.g., MEDICAL RECORDS REVIEW or similar tools) is preferred.

Education:
