Our reputable and trustworthy client needs a dynamic Family Law Paralegal in their growing firm. Candidates with 3+ years of family law experience will be considered. What you will do:
- Work directly with and under the supervision of attorneys to assist with a range of legal support functions
- Conduct legal research
- Gather appropriate documentation, rules, and citations for drafting and reviewing complex pleadings, briefs, motions, and forms
- Collaborate with clients, staff, and attorneys to complete discovery responses and assist with discovery requests
- Assist in preparation for depositions, trials, and post-trial submissions, including appeals
What you will need to be successful:
- Paralegal degree/certificate or working towards it
- 3-5 years of legal support experience working in family law
- Prior experience with dissolution, modification, and child support casework required
- Candidate must be a self-starter who wants to be part of a thriving practice, with a strong desire to be a part of a cohesive team
- Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, research and writing skills, and a desire to problem-solve
- Must have a client service mindset, upbeat energy, and willingness to go above and beyond for our clients and teammates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Word, and Excel. Billing and Client Management software will be trained.
- Proficiency with Westlaw
- Professional appearance and demeanor are required
