We are nationally recognized for work on projects including solar power, wind power, pipelines, hydropower, natural gas plants, renewable gas facilities, transmission lines and bioenergy projects. Role Overview
Stoel Rives LLP is seeking a senior attorney with 7 or more years of experience to join its nationally recognized energy development practice group. The ideal candidate has experience in energy transactions, project development, transactional and financing due diligence, project development, EPC contracts, supply agreements and O&M.
Attorneys in this role often interface with colleagues across offices and practice groups and spend time on telephone and video calls with our clients. This attorney will independently produce client-ready documents and will work with others on complex transactions.

• Experience in energy transactions including project development (outlined above);
• Experience advising clients regarding international trade restraints, including WROs [withheld restraint orders], AD/CVDs [anti-dumping/countervailing duties] and other import tariffs, and their impact on equipment procurement and other project development documents in the renewable energy sector;
• Understanding of power purchase agreements and site control documents for distributed energy projects;
• Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand how a project serves clients goals;
• A commitment to client service and team success;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment;
• JD from an accredited university; and
• Membership in the state bar for the market where you are applying, or the ability to become barred in that state.

The salary range is based on market location and will vary. The pay range for this position in the State of California (San Diego area) is $355,000 - $400,000; however, the base compensation presented to a candidate may vary based on skills and overall experience. This information is provided per California’s pay transparency law, SB 1162.
