Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our firm. We are a Plaintiff injury and consumer law firm in San Diego, California. The candidate will primarily handle pre-lit claims/case investigation, damages assessment and all litigation matters and will have the opportunity to appear in court, take depositions, prepare and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery, and interact with both opposing counsel and the client(s).

Prior experience in injury claims and/or litigation is a benefit but not required.

Qualifications:

J.D. degree, required
Admission to CA State Bar, required
Strong analytical skills

Strong research and writing skills
Attention to detail
Independent Initiative – including the ability to investigate, evaluate and make recommendations that include a plan of action

Bonus pay structure based on merit and case results

Responsibilities:

Manage your own caseload under the supervision of a senior attorney
Researching and drafting legal briefs, memorandum, and correspondence
Work on and argue various law and motion matters in court
Work on Trial preparation
Discovery experience-- will be both taking and defending depositions, strategizing and managing all discovery aspects of case files
