Position overview

Joining our client’s esteemed law firm in Los Angeles, you will play a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal team. This position offers the chance to work on a broad spectrum of cases, providing comprehensive support to attorneys and ensuring the meticulous management of legal processes.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform extensive research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents to assist in case preparation and strategy formulation.
  • Create, review, and organize various legal documents, including briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence with precision and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update detailed case files, ensuring all documentation is current, well-organized, and easily accessible for the legal team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and facilitate case progression.
  • Assist in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing exhibits, coordinating schedules, and managing logistical arrangements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of legal documents with courts and regulatory bodies, adhering to all procedural requirements.
  • Manage attorneys’ calendars, track important deadlines, and oversee case-related timelines to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
  • Utilize legal software and databases to streamline case management and enhance overall productivity.


Requirements
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
  • Paralegal certification is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal within a law firm
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
