Business Immigration Associate Attorney (Labs)
Erickson Immigration Group has a career opportunity for an experienced Business Immigration Associate Attorney (Labs) to join our expanding team in a fully remote capacity. EIG offers a competitive salary, excellent employee benefits, and ample opportunity for professional growth.
Primary Work Responsibilities:
- Maintain ownership and ultimate responsibility for a full docket of employment-based nonimmigrant visa (NIV) cases at a time.
- Manage and prepare O-1 visas, L-1 visas, and other writing intensive employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visas (NIW, EB-1s)
- Ensure that Paralegals draft, organize, and file immigration documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
- Utilize high-level business immigration law knowledge and precise attention to detail to ensure the team produces error-free legal work.
- Research and analyze the law on complex immigration issues.
- Synthesize legal research and analyses into written memoranda or briefs and perform case work
- Identify potential immigration issues and develop strategies to address them.
- Conduct and participate in client meetings and calls.
- Handles client relations issues as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
- 3+ years of business immigration attorney work experience, ideally handling a large volume of L-1 visas
- U.S. Juris Doctor degree (J.D.)
- Member of a state bar and in good standing with the associated state bar association
- Ability to manage complex case strategies with company contacts and clients.
- Proven record of meeting SLAs for case preparation and client communication.
- Possess exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate visa filings.
- Understanding of nuanced and complex immigration law concepts.
- Solid understanding of case management systems.
- Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Solid understanding of case management systems
