Job Description

Position Overview:

This in-office role will handle a wide variety of paralegal duties, including supporting our Risk Management and Capital Markets teams with Rockbridge’s existing and prospective investors and other transactional matters.  The Paralegal will be responsible for organizing and managing a variety of transactional matters, preparing legal documents, providing assistance to Rockbridge’s attorneys and other stakeholders, updating files, and performing other administrative duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of documentation and the development of systems and processes for handling multiple investment vehicles to ensure best practices are implemented
  • Facilitate entity formation and management for commercial real estate and investment transactions
  • Administer and manage investor management system
  • Assist with investor due diligence process
  • Manage delivery, processing, and tracking of investor subscription documents
  • Manage deal checklists, coordinate work flow and otherwise assist with investment vehicle transactions as part of the overall deal team
  • Draft, review, proofread, and revise various legal documents and other communications
  • Manage compliance with annual certification requirements to fund investors
  • Manage corporate organizational charts
  • Process assignments and transfers of various fund and other corporate entity ownership interests
  • Assist with certain fund governance matters
  • Assist other team members on commercial real estate deals and other transactional matters
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, paralegal certification preferred
  • Entrepreneurial individual with a strong work ethic and a high-level of intellectual curiosity and integrity
  • Flexible and adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization as well as with external relationships
  • Candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail with an ability to organize and manage a large volume of documents/files
  • Ability to develop and manage processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and communicate information effectively in writing and interpersonal communications
  • 5 - 7 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in house in financial services, commercial real estate, or private equity
  • Institutional private equity experience preferred
  • Must operate with a high level of discretion and maintain confidentiality
