
JOB SUMMARY:
The paralegal plays a vital role in assisting the legal team and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the legal team.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Analyzes relevant legal documents including contracts.
• Research various legal issues.
• Maintains legal files, records, and databases in an organized and accessible manner.
• Coordinates correspondence with internal clients and other stakeholders.
• Files necessary legal documents with local, state, and federal agencies and/or courts.
• Assists with discovery, fact investigations, and the preparation of legal documents.
• Tracks progress of litigation claims, potential claims and other matters and following up with outside counsel on status.
• Reviews and tracks execution of confidentiality agreements, policies, and other corporate documents.
• Drafts correspondence, abstracts, summaries, addenda, amendments, and policies.
• Drafts ancillary documents, manages signature pages, and compiles executed documents.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
• Assists with departmental initiatives, including the design of legal support processes, contract templates, and the use of technologies to increase efficiencies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certification and six plus years of paralegal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
