What You'll Do
- Provide strategic legal guidance on a wide range of healthcare regulatory and transactional matters.
- Advise clients such as physician groups, digital health companies, and healthcare investors on business practices and compliance.
- Manage M&A and joint venture transactions within the healthcare sector, ensuring regulatory compliance at both federal and state levels.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, operating agreements, and deal documents related to healthcare operations and investments.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and partners, contributing to long-term relationship building.
- Mentor junior attorneys and support their development in regulatory and transactional work.
- Experience: 4-6 years of health care regulatory and transactional legal experience (up to 8 years considered).
- Licensure: JD from an accredited U.S. law school and active member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar; eligibility for Florida Bar admission is required.
- Skills: Strong command of federal and state health laws including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and corporate practice of medicine issues.
- Mindset: A proactive, team-oriented legal professional who is comfortable leading transactions and communicating directly with senior stakeholders.
- Preferred: Prior work at a large law firm or experience supporting AmLaw 100 clients is a plus.
