Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated In-House Counsel to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide legal support across various business functions, including construction, development, and property management. This role requires expertise in real estate law, financing agreements, and contract negotiations, along with the ability to work collaboratively with different departments.



Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financing, leasing, and sales.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to construction, development, and property management.
  • Assist in the management of litigation and dispute resolutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and property managers to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and industry trends.
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions on legal topics relevant to the business.
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisors as needed.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 3-5 years of experience in real estate, construction law, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, contract law, and issues pertaining to construction and property management.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to legal issues.
  • Experience in a corporate or in-house legal environment is preferred.
