Medicaid Paralegal

The Law Offices of David L. Carrier, P.C. is a client-focused law firm specializing in estate planning and elder law. We are dedicated to providing compassionate and thorough legal support to our families. We are seeking an experienced Medicaid Paralegal to help our families navigate the complexities of applying for long-term care benefits. 

Position Summary:

The Medicaid Paralegal will handle all phases of the Medicaid application process including, but not limited to:

• Lead initial client intake/discovery meetings
• Gather, review, and analyze financial records and transactions
• Coordinate estate planning needs with our Drafting Team 
• Lead weekly implementation meetings with your clients
• Prepare and submit extensive Medicaid applications
• Maintain communication with clients, families, and caseworkers
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical files

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Deadline driven, highly organized, and flexible 
• Compassionate and patient demeanor, especially when working with elderly clients and their families

This Medicaid Department position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a law firm setting, a financial institution, or within a long-term care facility. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to complete tasks in an accurate and efficient manner, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.
