We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. We are seeking a Legal Secretary to join our Fair Housing practice group in San Diego. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for our Fair Housing team to ensure that clients are provided with the highest-level of service on a daily basis.

Compensation:

$26.00-$32.00 p/hour (DOE)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-volume overall administrative and paralegal assistance for the Fair Housing practice group
  • Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents (including letters, agreements, and document reviews) and send correspondence
  • Assist with billing, electronic filing, conversion of electronic documents, copying, and additional support as needed
  • Open and close fair housing matters
  • Manage closing of files and closing calendar deadlines
  • Monitor and update case deadlines, calendars, and task sheets to ensure compliance with all requirements
  • General administrative support to the Fair Housing team’s paralegal ensuring they can focus on billable tasks
  • Coordinate fair housing team calendars and schedule both internal and external meetings
  • Facilitate order fulfillment of online store purchases for the practice group


Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of previous law firm experience
  • Previous administrative office and customer service experience
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and be a flexible team player
  • Typing speed of 60+ wpm

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Knowledge of fair housing and/or landlord-tenant law
  • ProLaw experience

 

Schedule:

Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.

We currently offer a hybrid/remote work model for select positions within the Firm. This position can be fully remote or can be based out of one of our offices in California.
