Description
Seeking an attorney who will support BlackRock’s US registered fund business, providing legal advice and consultation on a variety of legal, regulatory and compliance issues relating to the structuring, launch and distribution of US registered funds, ongoing product support, and related regulatory reform and asset management services. The attorney will manage business relationships and communicate regularly with management regarding legal, compliance and business issues/risks with a focus on product development and distribution through third-party retail, technology enabled platforms and sub-advisory channels.
Requirements
Requires a J.D. with superior academic credentials from a nationally-recognized law school and three to six years' experience as a lawyer in a major law firm or in the legal department of a leading financial services organization. Experience in U.S. federal securities laws, asset management, and U.S. registered funds and related regulatory issues are required.
The candidate should have exceptional analytical, written and verbal communication, strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills, and must be able to work effectively both independently and as a member of the team, in a demanding, fast-paced, global environment handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently while maintaining high standards and attention to detail. The candidate must have the ability and desire to develop expertise in new or unfamiliar areas of law.
