Job Description

Litigation Paralegal
 
Foulston is looking for a team member who is interested in working on a variety of legal matters, has excellent attention to detail, and a positive attitude. If this sounds like you, then we would love to meet you! This position would generally support attorneys in our Wichita office and periodically might support attorneys in our other Kansas offices to help provide our clients with quality legal services. The ideal candidate is intelligent, team-oriented, and has a strong desire for excellence!
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with trial preparation including witness lists, exhibits, and trial binders
  • Organizing and preparing documents for production including discovery responses
  • Analyzing documents with knowledge of eDiscovery practices
  • Preparing case and medical chronologies
  • Conducting legal research
  • Attending court with attorneys
  • Calculating legal deadlines
  • Maintaining accurate time records
  • Other duties as assigned to support the attorneys in fulfillment of the Firm’s mission.
Qualifications include:
  • Two or more years of experience as a litigation paralegal
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  • Experience with eDiscovery and eDiscovery software
  • Aptitude to be detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in conveying ideas clearly through spoken and written communication
  • Strong technical foundation with a demonstrated capacity to learn new software rapidly
  • Efficient time management skills
  • A bachelor’s degree or AA in Legal Studies (or equivalent experience) preferred
