The Credit Karma Pathfinder Program is a paid internship program located in Oakland, CA. During the program, you will be integrated into a team where you will work on multiple projects to help Credit Karma fulfill our mission of making financial progress possible for everyone. Pathfinders will participate in weekly cohort meetings, team outings, events, and participate in discussions with Credit Karma leadership. As a Legal Pathfinder you will gain insight into the inner workings of an in-house legal team at a fast-paced fintech company. Pathfinders will work directly alongside our attorneys and legal and compliance professionals to solve challenging projects and manage daily responsibilities. 

 

What you’ll do

  • Prepare presentations and training materials
  • Help coordinate and implement legal operations functions
  • Update policy and procedures and conduct and report on research
  • Work with the Legal & Compliance team on ad hoc projects
  • Gain-hands on experience working on a high impact team
  • Participate in professional development trainings and relationship building events

Minimum basic requirements

  • Candidates must be in their first or second year of college and enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor's degree program
  • Must demonstrate great interest in legal and compliance fields. 
  • Basic familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets to manage and organize data.

Pay Transparency Notice:

Credit Karma’s mission of championing financial progress for all starts from within. That’s why we implemented role-based compensation, which ensures people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only. It’s all part of a more comprehensive DEI strategy that helps level the playing field. The base hourly range for this role is $27.00 per hour, plus a one time transportation stipend.
