The Legal Operations Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Regional General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel and the broader Legal Department, driving operational excellence through innovation, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions that enhance the efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness of legal services across the organization. By leveraging legal technology, data analytics, vendor management, and project leadership, the Legal Operations Manager ensures the department operates with agility and alignment to business goals. The position plays a critical role in budgeting, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, enabling the Legal Department to deliver high-value legal support while maintaining compliance, cost control, and strategic impact.
Job ResponsibilitiesLeverage data analytics and performance metrics to inform decision-making, identify trends, and support continuous improvement across legal operations.
Provide leadership and oversight on high-impact strategic initiatives, both within North America and in collaboration with the international legal team, ensuring alignment with departmental and enterprise-wide goals.
Design and implement scalable process improvements and workflow enhancements that increase departmental effectiveness and resource utilization.
Manage outside counsel relationships, including firm selection, pricing negotiations, billing oversight, DEI compliance, and performance evaluations, ensuring alignment with Rabobank’s standards and strategic objectives.
Drive legal operations strategy through project management, process innovation, and cross-functional collaboration with legal, finance, and business stakeholders.
Oversee the implementation, integration, and optimization of legal technology platforms (e.g., Legal Tracker, PERSUIT, eDiscovery, contract management systems), ensuring tools are aligned with business needs and user adoption is supported.
Lead the development and delivery of technical training and onboarding programs for new legal department employees.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators, benchmark performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
Maintain and annually review the Approved Counsel List to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of external legal services.
Oversee document and eDiscovery production in response to subpoenas, litigation, and internal investigations.
Respond to legal audit requests and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submissions.
Serve as a mentor and project team lead, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the legal operations team.
Maintain and manage the Legal Tracker platform, ensuring accurate matter management and timely invoice processing.
Execute special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the Deputy General Counsel or Regional General Counsel.
To be considered for the Legal Operations Manager role, you must have:
Bachelor's degree
7+ years of legal field, paralegal experience, or data analytics.
Experience in legal operations with matter management and e-billing systems as well as enterprise Legal systems or experience with other complex data management applications or vendor applications.
Ability to travel regionally up to 15%

Salary Expectations:Target Hiring Range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
