Incumbent leads section functioning as legal counsel to several State agencies, departments, boards, and commissions, including the: Michigan Civil Service Commission, State Personnel Director, Michigan State Board of Ethics, Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Bureau of Construction Codes, State Fire Marshall, and the Michigan Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules. Incumbent provides and assigns legal advice and representation to these agencies through administrative hearings, state and federal court litigation, and appellate litigation. Incumbent also provides and assigns advice on questions pertaining to these agencies’ statutory authority, rules, policies, and procedures. Incumbent may attend these clients’ public and closed hearings on behalf of the Attorney General, if requested.
Position Description- Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law.
Experience
Attorney Manager 18
Five years of post-bar admission legal experience.

Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.
