Description:
The Workers Compensation Paralegal is responsible for working up the files alongside the attorneys, while prepping cases for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and send client paperwork and track until completion and submit to required agencies
- Maintain new client files
- Update and process existing client files
- Maintain case management database
- Retrieve specific documents such as medical records, exhibits and medical source statements and collect information from various other organizations
- Answer client calls and maintain communication with the clients
- Maintaining Supervising Attorney’s schedule
- Any additional duties, as requested
Education and Experience Required:
- Associate degree in paralegal studies/ paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree in any field
- Prior legal experience and/or Workers Compensation experience a plus
- Knowledge of a multi-line telephone system, proficiency in computers, and excellent data entry and typing skills
- Bilingual (Written and Oral) in English and Spanish is a plus

Work Conditions:

Compensation:
- Hourly salary based on experience
- Paid Company observed holidays
- 401k plan, subject to eligibility
- Employer shall provide partial contribution towards health insurance premiums, subject to eligibility
This position is part-time. However, could become full-time with additional duties given.
