Job Description
This position resides in a Field Office of the National Labor Relations Board. Field Offices represent the actual operating arm of the Agency, the means through which both the Board and the General Counsel reach the public. This is a developmental position leading to the full performance grade of GS-905-14.
Duties As a General Attorney (Labor), GS-0905-11, your typical work assignments may include: Under direct supervision, conducting legal research, preparing detailed factual and legal reports and analyses involving factual and legal questions, conflicting legal precedents, labor relations disputes, or other factors rendering resolution of difficult or sensitive cases. Exercising judgment in unfair labor practice charge investigations. Under direct supervision, conducting federal court litigation involving injunctions under provisions of the National Labor Relations Act, as amended, and related proceedings. Under direct supervision, trying unfair labor practice cases before Administrative Law Judges, including examining and cross-examining witnesses, introducing evidence and exhibits, lodging appropriate objections, and arguing motions made by the parties. Under direct supervision, making recommendations to the Regional Director as to whether representation cases should proceed, including examining the showing of interest presented in certain types of cases and negotiating appropriate Consent or Stipulated Election Agreements. Salary- $74,678 - $107,090/year
