Dynamic Energy Solutions, LLC (“Dynamic Energy”) seeks an attorney with 2-5 years’ construction or general contract law experience to serve as Counsel in our Legal Department. The attorney will be responsible for contractual matters supporting the engineering, procurement, and construction of commercial solar photovoltaic projects. Under the supervision of the General Counsel and the Assistant General Counsel and Director of Construction Risk Management, the attorney will have direct responsibility for:
- Drafting and negotiating procurement, labor, engineering, and materials contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders;
- Ensuring that subcontracts comply with and incorporate upstream customer contract requirements and company policies;
- Reviewing and revising contract templates to improve risk management and operational efficiency;
- Researching mechanic’s lien laws in each jurisdiction where Dynamic Energy builds projects, modifying contract documents as necessary to comply with those laws, and ensuring all legally required notices are drafted, presented, and recorded;
- Assisting Dynamic Energy’s construction professionals in interpreting and applying contractual documents;
- Assisting in managing and resolving disputes with Dynamic Energy’s customers, subcontractors, and vendors;
- Assisting in compiling, preparing and reviewing documents required for solar project financing; and
- Other legal research and writing duties as assigned by the General Counsel or the Assistant General Counsel and Director of Construction Risk Management.
- Admitted to practice, active and in good standing in any U.S. state;
- 2-5 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house setting performing duties similar to the job duties listed above; and
- Ability to work independently and creatively to identify risks and help colleagues formulate solutions.
This position is based in our Philadelphia, PA headquarters office or can be performed remotely.
The expected starting pay range for this role is $128,000 - $160,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
