
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Court Administrator, the Court Clerk performs clerical duties related to cashiering, small claims, landlord-tenant, general civil, criminal, traffic, probation, and/or administrative proceedings in the 39th District Court.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
- Provide professional assistance at the counter or via phone to the public, attorneys, and law enforcement personnel in accordance with established court rules, applicable laws and internal procedures in a professional manor.
- Complete standard court forms and assist the public with standard court forms.
- Schedule hearings and appointments; issue proper notices.
- Enter and review data in court case management systems and LEIN.
- Handle and distribute mail, maintain court files, and perform data entry.
- Participate in Zoom hearings.
- Serve as a Certified Electronic Operator (CEO) for court recording.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
