Position Title: Assistant District Attorney, District Attorney’s Office-District 4
Location: Canadian County DA’s Office, Canadian County Juvenile Justice Center, El Reno, Oklahoma with some travel to Kingfisher and Blaine Counties
Status: Full-Time State Employee, Immediate Opening
Salary: Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000 Plus Benefits
Benefits: Insurance for Employee, Spouse, and Dependents; Pension Retirement for Employee
About the Office: Tommy Humphries is the District Attorney for DA District 4, which includes Blaine, Canadian, Garfield, Grant and Kingfisher Counties. Our mission is to protect the public by vigorously prosecuting violent crime, protecting and serving crime victims, timely processing cases, diverting appropriate offenders to treatment, and maintaining the highest levels of ethics and professionalism to ensure the communities we serve remain healthy and safe. My goal is to build and maintain an office culture of values, standards, and expectations which will result in accomplishing our mission.
Position Summary: Our office seeks an experienced prosecutor who will be responsible for a variety of legal duties which promote the effective prosecution of deprived and delinquent cases in DA District 4.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in Oklahoma.
- Demonstrated experience prosecuting juvenile cases.
- Possess excellent oral advocacy, legal analysis and legal writing and editing skills.
- Display strong organizational, interpersonal communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation.
