Job Description
What you will be doing: Prepare basic legal documents such as answers, litigation hold letters, and initial written discovery. Draft and manage business record subpoenas. Propound discovery and other statutory requests. Assist attorneys with document review and production. Prepare and review case files. Manage discovery and trial documents in all aspects of case management. Perform administrative functions including filing, sorting mail, ordering supplies, copying, scanning, and updating materials. Provide receptionist services and interface with the rest of the firm as well as firm clients. Experience you will need: Minimum of five years as a legal secretary/paralegal. Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited school. Thorough knowledge of legal terminology, civil litigation court proceedings, and deadlines for federal and state courts. Understanding of rules for formatting, filing, eFiling, and serving legal documents. Strong computer, grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills. Excellent attendance and attention to detail. Ability to be a team player and get along well with others.
