Asbestos Paralegal

Nachawati Law Group (www.ntrial.com) is in search of an Asbestos Paralegal in Dallas, TX, to help in the asbestos department. The Asbestos Paralegal will be responsible for supporting attorneys in asbestos litigation, managing cases, preparing documents, and assisting with discovery and trial preparation, focusing on the specific complexities of asbestos-related cases.

Responsibilities of our Asbestos Paralegal

• Manage asbestos cases, including tracking deadlines, communicating with clients and staff, and maintaining case files. 
• Assist with the discovery process, including gathering, organizing, and reviewing documents, and responding to requests for information. 
• Prepare legal documents, reports, and correspondence related to asbestos cases. 
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and researching legal issues. 
• Maintain and update databases related to asbestos cases. 
• Interact with clients, providing updates on their cases and answering questions. 
• Conduct legal research to support the attorneys' work. 
• Assist with settlement negotiations and documentation

Experience Required for our Asbestos Paralegal

• Paralegal certification is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. 
• Prior experience in a litigation environment, especially with asbestos cases, is highly desired. 
• Case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to manage and meet competing deadlines and priorities.
• Superior organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Deadline and detail oriented
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills; must be able to maintain a high case volume.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software is required. Previous Needles/Litiy experience preferred. 
• The ability to adapt to change and work under pressure is important. 
• A strong team player with the ability to work independently is needed. 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines 
• Multi-state federal litigation is a plus.
