K2 Integrity is seeking a self-motivated and highly organized attorney with a minimum of five years of experience gained in-house and/or at a law firm to join its legal team. This role is pivotal in providing law expertise and support within the firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong global legal experience, with proficiency in contract law. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can navigate complex legal frameworks and contribute to the success of our projects and clients. Minimum Salary: $200,000 | Maximum Salary: $250,000
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the firm’s in-house counsel for day-to-day operations.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support projects.
- Conduct research on emerging business risks/best practices.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Engage and oversee external legal resources where applicable to improve efficiency.
- Assist in the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and advise the team accordingly.
- Stay up to date with evolving compliance laws and regulations.
- Draft and review legal documents including agreements, proposals, and contracts.
- Assist with intake of newly executed contracts and maintenance of contract management system.
- Summarize contractual terms, and other business and legal matters, and respond to contract inquiries and requests.
- Review, draft, and revise form agreements.
- Assist with client and vendor contract negotiations.
- Provide legal guidance.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Assist with development, implementation, and integration of the global compliance program across all offices.
- Support the management of litigation and administrative matters, including organizing and maintaining internal files and monitoring ongoing matter activity; assist in any discovery efforts between outside counsel and internal personnel, as needed.
- Assist in the management of the legal hold process, including implementing, maintaining, and tracking legal notices.
- Assist with policies and procedures, training, investigations, third-party oversight, risk assessments, testing and monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Manage cross-functional solutions that address compliance requirements across offices.
- Perform other special assignments, strategic projects, or duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school; active admission to the New York State Bar.
- 5+ years of relevant experience gained in-house and/or at a law firm; prior experience working with a consulting and/or professional services company preferred.
- Global legal experience required.
- Flexible mentality with the ability to multitask.
- Strong background in legal administrative tasks, including document management.
- Proficiency in legal research methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations.
- Experience with DocuSign and ContractWorks (or a similar contract management system) preferred.
- Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, autonomous, creative, efficient, and resourceful with strong follow-through.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and demands and nimbly adjust to shifting priorities within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Strong work ethic and sense of professionalism and discretion, demonstrating accountability, integrity, good judgment, and respect for confidentiality.
- Ability to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive, “can do” attitude to the workplace and works collaboratively with other members of the legal team and with internal business partners.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
