Sonder's legal team supports every aspect of Sonder and its domestic and international growth and operations. The Sonder legal team works closely with its business partners to help transform the future of hospitality.
We’re looking for a Paralegal, Litigation and Risk, to support our Associate General Counsel with matters primarily relating to litigation and insurance. This position will be based in the United States.

AT SONDER YOU WILL:
Provide support for pre-litigation and litigation matters, including fact investigation, discovery, and witness preparation
Assist with management of the company’s insurance and risk program, including policy renewals, insurance claims, compliance, and audits
Prepare and send out legal holds and manage legal hold compliance
Respond to subpoenas and requests for information with minimal supervision, including identification, collection, review, and preparation of documents for production
Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures, and programs
Develop and maintain internal litigation and insurance databases and resources
Work on legal and insurance invoicing and budgeting matters
Collaborate with outside counsel, insurance brokers, and adjusters, and interact across all levels of management within the company
Partner with cross-functional teams on various legal matters, special projects, and processes
Requires discretion, independent judgment, and critical thinking
Requires strong computer, communication, writing, organization, and project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced legal environment
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Applicable experience as a paralegal, preferably with a top-tier international law firm or a global in-house legal department; experience working on real estate, privacy, and employment matters is preferred but not required
Attention to detail, good judgment, and solid organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership skills
High quality and accuracy of written work
Ability to work independently
Experience working on highly confidential, sensitive matters
Ability and willingness to take initiative to identify and address problems and make continuous process improvements
A highly collaborative mindset
Associate degree in paralegal studies or bachelor’s degree preferred
