Job Description

PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Paralegal. Under direct supervision of counsel, this employee performs responsible secretarial tasks, acts as an intermediary for supervisor and is delegated the responsibility for handling administrative details; and exercises considerable judgment and independent action in adapting work procedures.  Researches law, investigates facts and prepares documents to assist attorneys by performing the following duties: that will be responsible for coordinating the development of and overseeing customized products to ensure sustained long term revenue growth and profitability.  This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL:

  • Develop, manage, and implement department policies and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
  • Docket and monitor deadlines for appropriate follow-up.
  • Perform other clerical duties, such as scheduling appointments, giving information to callers, taking dictation, composing and typing routine correspondence, reading and routing incoming mail, and filing correspondence and other records.
  • Perform research and analysis according to department needs.
  • Assist counsel in maintaining consistency in all internal processes and communications to facilitate deposition and/or trial preparation and testimony.
  • Assist counsel with training and supervision of department personnel and interns.
  • Act as liaison between counsel and external parties.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of department files and records, including privilege review.

 

 

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a properly accredited college or university, or a Paralegal certificate; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to handle interruptions and maintain professional demeanor; ability to handle difficult and/or stressful situations effectively.
  • Resourcefulness: willingness to seek and develop sources of information within the company.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of administrative and complex tasks and accept challenging assignments, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, TEAMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  Experience with contract management software is a plus.
  • Ability to perform day-to-day activities with minimum mistakes, be self-starting, resourceful, and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and complete tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to use office equipment including personal computer, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, and phone.
