About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Attorney to join our team at McKean Smith LLC. As a Business Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to our clients on a wide range of business-related matters. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our clients' business operations are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, while also helping them achieve their business objectives. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions that meet their specific requirements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of legal professionals and make a significant impact on our clients' businesses.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Oregon
  • At least 2 years of experience practicing business law
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with clients in the business services industry
  • Experience working with startups and emerging companies
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience in intellectual property law

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of business-related matters
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies
  • Ensure that clients' business operations are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and other legal proceedings
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients

Skills:

As a Business Attorney, you will need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to provide effective legal advice and guidance to our clients. You will also need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and collaborate with other legal professionals. In addition, you will need to have a deep understanding of business law and regulations, as well as experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents. Finally, experience in mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property law would be beneficial in this role.
