November 26, 2024 Attorney Personal Injury Law

Job Description

Do you want to manage complex legal matters independently and as part of a team? Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to legal challenges.

If so, here is an opportunity to shine by handling complex litigation matters, including individual, multidistrict, mass tort, and class action lawsuits while working alongside prominent attorneys.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to be in court. A lot.
  • Mentorship by renowned attorneys in the field.
  • Deep resources, a supportive environment, and stellar paralegals.
  • Growth opportunities with a path to partnership.
  • Your own caseload, and the freedom to manage it.
  • No cap on how much you can achieve above your already-competitive salary.
  • Competitive benefits (such as paid family leave, 401k with match, and more).

What the day looks like:

No two days are the same. You might be in court for a hearing, deposing a witness or defending a deposition, talking to an expert about your case, investigating facts in the field, or gearing up for trial.

And while you’re building your case, our highly-trained support staff meticulously take care of all the details. Plus: No billable hours. No micromanagement.

It’s a good fit for hard-working attorneys who want to do quality work and make a real impact in clients’ lives.

Who we are:

We’re a nationally recognized plaintiffs’ firm, and were recently voted a Best Place to Work. Our President was named one of the state’s most influential business leaders, and has been recognized for advancing diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Besides looking for high achievers, we’re also looking for good people. People with character, strong values, and who are good teammates. And kind. Our employees genuinely care for our clients and for each other.

Requirements:

  • NC Bar Licensure
  • Experience 3 – 6 years
  • Must be able to conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
  • Take/defend depositions, attend hearings, and attend trials as part of a trial team. Court and deposition experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Location is flexible, and we offer hybrid work options, but you must be able to try cases across NC.

“When I graduated from law school, there was only one place I wanted to work: James Scott Farrin. For years, I have admired the firm for its values and service to others. It is an honor to work here.”
