Job Overview:
This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall operational excellence of a legal department. This role involves a mix of administrative, project management, technical, and analytical responsibilities, ensuring the legal department operates smoothly and effectively.
- Process Support and Improvement:
- Support development, implementation, and maintenance of efficient processes and procedures for legal department activities, such as entity management, e-billing, and knowledge management.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- General daily legal operations tasks such as system ticket creation and management.
- Knowledge Management Resource Support:
- Develop and maintain knowledge management resources, such as templates, forms, and letterhead.
- Organize and maintain document repositories and filing systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Finance, IT, and Procurement, to align legal operations with broader business goals.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Project Management Support:
- Provide project management support for various legal initiatives, including project planning, status tracking, and task management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills/solution oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity in legal technology and software.
- General project management experience.
- Knowledge of legal operations principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with e-billing and entity management systems.
