Assistant District Attorney - Civil Division

The Brazoria County District Attorney's Office has an opening, effective immediately, for an experienced attorney in its Civil Division. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary for an Assistant District Attorney – Civil Division is dependent on experience. The successful applicant will also receive a full benefits package that includes paid holidays, paid sick time, and health, life, dental, and vision insurance.

Advise various elected officials and county departments on legal issues
Civil litigation from intake through trial in both Federal and State Court
Respond to Open Records request
Draft and review contracts and other legal documents
Enforce environmental health, floodplain, and other regulations

Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
Member in good standing with State Bar of Texas
Minimum three years of experience practicing law
Strong research and writing skills
Federal and State civil trial experience preferred
Prior experience working with governmental entities preferred
CPS experience will also be considered
