Buxton & Collie, LLC, located in Mt. Pleasant, SC, is a well-established law firm offering trusted legal counsel to both individuals and businesses. We are currently seeking a Residential Real Estate Paralegal to support our growing real estate practice. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about providing high-quality support during the real estate closing process, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open files using legal software, being responsible for accurate data entry and document maintenance
  • Organize and maintain detailed closing files, document binders, and task lists
  • Schedule closings amount multiple parties 
  • Communicate with other side's attorney/paralegal and prepare documents for their review
  • Order HOA and payoff statements as needed
  • Examine loan documents from lenders to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Assist with drafting key closing documents, including Closing Disclosures, deeds, affidavits, HUD statements, and legal descriptions
  • Prepare settlement statements and coordinate executable closing packages
  • Act as a liaison among clients, lenders, realtors, abstractors, title underwriters, and attorneys

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in reviewing legal and financial documents
  • Exceptional proofreading and editing skills for legal materials
