We are looking for a motivated, passionate, hard-working individual to become our new Associate Attorney.
We need someone to take responsibility for:
1. Ensure the quality of the legal work strategy and immigration applications under the direction of the CEO and in collaboration with the whole Mangone Law Firm team.
2. Meticulously review application packets for EOIR filings,family-based petitions, consular processing, U-Visa, SIJS, VAWA, T-visa, waiver petitions and RFEs.
3. Reviewing intakes in preparation for consults for EOIR filings, family-based petitions, consular processing, U-Visa, SIJS,VAWA, T-visa, and waiver petitions.
4. Devising immigration strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
5. Drafting immigration and family pleadings, briefs, and motions. Additionally, you will supervise and delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants, ensuring that all documents are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Preparing for and attend virtual, and telephonic immigration and family court hearings and USCIS interviews. Your presence and expertise in the courtroom will instill confidence in our clients and contribute to the success of their cases.
7. Ensuring that our legal team understands the immigration strategy for each case.
8. Supporting our CEO, COO and Operations Manager, and the entire Mangone legal team in a manner that streamlines operations and maximizes efficiency.
Job Type: Full-time. Monday- Friday, 8:30 am -5:30 pm.

Requirements

- Have 2+ years attorney experience in immigration cases: VAWA, T- Visa, U- Visa, SIJS.

In addition, you MUST be/have:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Quick learner.

- Self-organization skills.
- Skills and experience are required and valued, but attitude, character, personality, and integrity are also important.
- IT Skills (Google Workspace/Suite, Excel, Slack, Monday, Immigration Case Management Systems).
- Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and requests.
- Detail-oriented attitude, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Having a passion for furthering immigrant’s rights is necessary.
- Commitment & responsiveness towards clients, legal team and CEO.
- Have very strong writing skills.
