
Position Summary
The Legal Assistant will support the Legal Department by providing a range of administrative and clerical services. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of legal workflows, including document management, scheduling, and communication support.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence.
· Maintain and organize physical and digital files.
· Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and arrange travel for the legal team.
- Handle document requests and coordinate responses to subpoenas and other legal inquiries.
· Assist with contract tracking and management.
- Input and track legal requests through internal systems.
· Monitor deadlines and maintain accurate records of legal timelines.
· Communicate with internal departments and external parties as needed.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or legal certificate preferred.
· Prior experience in a legal, administrative, or office setting preferred.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
· Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Physical and Functional Demands
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Occasional lifting of files, boxes, or office supplies up to 15 pounds.
· Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
· Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a busy office setting.
