SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-ValleyPosition Overview:
Provides a variety of legal and administrative support, requiring a high level of detail and organization. Produces, updates and transcribes a variety of legal documents following established formats, proofreading and editing documents for correctness and completeness. Calendars meetings, coordinates legal projects, prioritizes actions and responses, and establishes a system to organize, maintain and track priorities, files and projects/cases.Job Description:
The work location for this role is in Sacramento. This is not a remote role and candidate will come on site for work, meetings, etc. and live a commutable distance to the River Plaza Office.
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma: High School Diploma or GED
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Familiar with general legal office practices and functions.
Familiar with basic legal terminologies.
Ability to understand the distinctions between legal documents (i.e., bylaws, articles, summons, complaints, subpoenas, etc.).
Ability to understand the legal time constraints and deadlines associated with filing court documents and/or responding to requests and/or subpoenas.
Ability to prepare legal documents and reports from general instructions using appropriate approved format.
Knowledge of business English composition, and basic rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation with the ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence and memorandums.
Ability to use keyboard by touch for an extended period of time and to type 60 to 70 WPM.
Critical thinking with attention to details.
Organization skills to effectively manage and/or re-prioritize activities and projects to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of responsiveness.
Displays a customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, and to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
Demonstrates respect for cultural and linguistic differences and promotes an inclusive work environment.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with set timelines and changing business priorities.

Pay Range is $28.01 to $39.22 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
