Enformion is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented second-year law student for a paid summer internship. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with Enformion’ s General Counsel in a fast-paced, high-impact legal environment. The successful candidate will contribute to meaningful projects that influence the company’s legal and compliance strategy.
The Legal Student Assistant will assist the General Counsel with reviewing and organizing corporate contracts, preparing and processing documents and maintaining filling systems. Additionally, the role may involve conducting basic legal research, assisting with document drafting and supporting the overall office administrative needs related to corporate legal matters.
Hourly pay $20-$23
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and support due diligence in connection with a corporate merger and acquisition
- Assist in analyzing and ensuring compliance with evolving U.S. privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, state-level legislation)
- Review and revise standard form customer agreements in collaboration with legal and business stakeholders
- Draft memoranda, summaries, and recommendations on legal issues
- Participate in internal meetings and present findings to legal and business teams
- Assist with drafting, editing and proofreading legal and contractual documents.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure contracts are current and identify any contract needs.
- Maintain and update electronic and physical filling systems for corporate legal documents.
- Prepare, edit and manage PDF documents for legal review and filling.
- Review, organize and assist with corporate contracts and legal documents related to vendors and clients.
- Support general administrative tasks such as data entry, document tracking and document requests across departments.
Qualifications:
- Current second-year law student (2L) in good standing at an accredited law school
- Demonstrated interest in privacy, data protection, or technology law
- Coursework in privacy law or prior experience with data-driven businesses is a plus
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Responsible and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to take direction and work independently.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to set priorities and complete assignments within established timelines.
- Must be able to work from our Sacramento office as needed; otherwise, hybrid work arrangement is supported
