
The Fourth District Court of Appeal is seeking a professional and highly responsible individual for hire as a Chambers’ Law Clerk. Work involves considerable interpretation and judgment in the analysis of a variety of legal issues. The Law Clerk’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work is performed independently under the direction and general supervision of the Judge.
Salary- $52,663.44/year
Candidates must have outstanding, analytical, writing, editing, and research skills. Successful candidates have excelled in their law school studies. Attorneys with prior experience are also encouraged to apply. Applicants with journal and/or moot court experience are preferred. JD degree is required.

Knowledge of legal principles, statutory and case law, court rules and procedures. Exceptional research and writing skills. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and complicated factual details independently and efficiently. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time, and digest and communicate ideas and concepts orally and in writing. Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, impartiality, and honesty in handling matters before the court. Ability to work effectively with attorneys and non-attorneys on a consistent, daily basis.

The Fourth District Court of Appeal is in downtown West Palm Beach. The Court is located across the street from the West Palm Beach Tri-Rail Station and approximately 1/2 mile from the West Palm Beach Brightline Station.
Salary and Benefits
$52,663.44 for the first year. If retained for a second year, salary could increase to $66,851.12.
