Job Description

The Infosys Legal Team is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to join Americas team. In this role, you will primarily support litigation across practice areas, including commercial, intellectual property, data privacy/information security, and employment.

You will manage and support various projects, including handling third-party subpoenas and requests for discovery, document collection, litigation holds, and collaborating with external litigation counsel on a variety of matters. You will be extensively collaborating and working with other departments, management, and senior leadership to address and resolve legal matters and support ongoing litigation. You will also have responsibility for legal operations/administrative tasks, including assisting with the billing system/budget tracking, assisting with case file management, deadline tracking, assisting with monthly and quarterly reports, and other tasks. Expanded responsibilities possible depending on your interests and experience. You will work regularly with teams across the globe. Both excellent communication skills and a flexible work approach is needed when working with colleagues with diverse backgrounds in multiple time zones.

Location for this position is Richardson, TX or Indianapolis, IN, with long-term hybrid work-from-home schedule.

Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience, with at least a portion spent supporting litigation.
  • Recognized paralegal certification.
  • Ability to work with professionals across the globe.
  • Ability to support multiple stakeholders effectively and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and organization skills.
  • Experience supporting multiple lawyers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in in complex litigation work (ClassAction litigation, IP litigation, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with employment litigation.
  • Significant experience in managing e-discovery by working with vendors and external counsel.
  • Proficiency with Thompson Reuters Legal Tracker or similar case management/billing database
  • Experience with Office 365.

Areas of Responsibility:
  • Manage, track various projects and prepare and assist with monthly billing and reporting requirements.
  • Open and maintain case files in Legal Tracker case management database and in SharePoint.
  • Support on policy and organizational initiatives; coordination with external advisors; first-level review of documents to validate adherence to guidelines.
  • Tasks may also include version control of guidance documents; assistance with the preparation of guidance documents; monitoring deadlines.
  • Assists in developing legal department best practices.
  • Supports invoice reconciliation and monitoring of external counsel fees.
  • Other legal and administrative projects as needed
