Family Law Attorney – Litigation

Join a growing, well-established law firm in Bridgeport, WV, as a Family Law Litigation Attorney. Handle divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, and related cases from intake to resolution. We are looking for a client-focused, organized attorney comfortable managing complex family law matters with both skill and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in divorce, child custody, support, and other family law litigation.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence.
• Develop case strategies and manage cases from start to finish.
• Maintain professional client communication throughout the case.
• Work collaboratively with paralegals, administrative staff, and firm leadership.

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia law license (or ability to obtain).
• 2+ years managing family law cases.
• Courtroom experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Professional demeanor, empathy, and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with contested custody or support cases.
• Mediation or negotiation experience.
• Familiarity with WV family law statutes and procedures.
• Previous law firm experience with billable caseloads.

• Full-time onsite in Clarksburg/Bridgeport, WV.
